Summerlin is unfolding in villages, each centered around its own major park or golf course. Currently, there are 15 villages in various stages of development. Eventually, the community will be home to 30 distinct villages, each featuring dozens of thoughtfully planned neighborhoods and a unique selection of homes, townhomes, condominiums, and apartments. Each Summerlin village has its own distinctive style of architecture and design, evident in streetscapes, landscaping and village walls. True to its master plan, Summerlin is a community where families of all sizes, ages and incomes are at home. Unfolding along the western rim of the Las Vegas Valley in the shadow of the Spring Mountain Range and Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, Summerlin is as well known for the beauty of its natural surroundings, as it is for the beauty of its streets, parks, neighborhoods and villages. Designed to live as good as it looks, Summerlin delivers an incomparable lifestyle and quality of life for its residents. An abundance of parks, trails and golf courses come together with exceptional schools, cultural centers, shopping centers and medical centers to create a self-contained community unlike any other in Southern Nevada. Once you've experienced Summerlin, it's easy to understand why the community has ranked as America's best-selling master-planned community eight of the past nine years.
Poised to become one of the most exclusive golf meccas in the Southwest, The Ridges is a gated community of custom and luxury home neighborhoods nestled alongside the Red Rock National Conservation Area with breathtaking mountain, valley, and city views. The Ridges offers an incredible assortment of custom and luxury home environments heavily rooted in a sophisticated desert architectural motif. At an elevation of over 3,200 feet, The Ridges creates beautiful living environments while maintaining a very natural setting. The neighborhoods at The Ridges are being created to complement the land rather than overtake it. And The Ridges features legendary golfer, Jack Nicklaus', Bear's Best Las Vegas golf course which showcases many of the fabulous holes from Nicklaus' desert-themed courses throughout the southwestern United States and Mexico.
The Willows is a 475-acre residential village that offers a wide selection of housing options, including single-family homes, multi-family homes and custom home neighborhoods. The village has developed around The Willows Park that features lighted baseball fields, two soccer fields, a basketball court, children's play area and The Willows Community Center. One of the park's most popular attractions is the resort-style swimming pool with a beach entrance, two water slides and fountains. The pool is open exclusively to Summerlin residents and their guests. The Willows park also features fairy tale sculptures, a public school, the D'Vorre and Hal Ober Elementary School, and two houses of worship. They include Temple Beth Sholom and the Jewish Community Center of Southern Nevada.
The Arbors Tennis and Play Park features five outdoor lighted tennis courts with a pro shop, as well as Arborville, a unique toddler tricycle track and play area. The Arbors Sports Park is a 60-acre joint-use education and community recreation complex and sports park. Eventually, The sports park will feature an Olympic-sized swimming pool, as well as numerous sports fields to augment those that already exist on the Palo Verde High School campus. Also included in the park is a new public community center owned and operated by the City of Las Vegas. The center features a full-size gymnasium, exercise and meeting rooms. The Arbors is also home to four worship sites, Desert Spring Methodist Church and the Valley's first Hindu Temple, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, scheduled to open Fall 2001 and Red Rock Community Church. The Canyons is a high-end residential village featuring a diverse range of home styles, including single-family, multi-family, custom and apartment homes. The village is centered around the Tournament Players Club at The Canyons, Summerlin's second TPC golf course that features a ruggedly dramatic topography with unparalleled mountain and city views. Also located in The Canyons is The Regent Las Vegas, a world-class resort featuring two Regent International Hotels with a total of 541 rooms, a 40,000-square-foot European Spa, and several outstanding restaurants and one-of-a-kind boutiques.

True to the village name, a 45-acre linear park meanders throughout the village, providing miles of scenery for outdoor enthusiasts and fitness buffs. The Trails Village Center is Summerlin's largest shopping center to date and serves as a popular community gathering spot. A full-service United States Post Office and The Merryhill School, a private elementary school, are located in The Trails, in addition to two future worship sites for Grace in the Desert Episcopal Church and Summerlin Community Baptist Church.
